We find BC buildings that are taxed higher than their neighbours, file the free appeal for them, and keep 30% of the first year's savings. If we don't win, they pay nothing.
Deadline that sells it: Feb 1, 2027Every January each owner gets one assessment notice. It does not show what happened to the buildings next door. All of those values are public, so our AI lines them up. When a building went up while its neighbours went down, that is the case we file.
Source: City of Vancouver open property tax data. Buildings compared only with buildings, land-heavy lots only with lots; new construction and demolitions removed. 56 have a gap over $20,000 a year. This is a first screen, not proof: some gaps have good reasons. Vancouver is one city; Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, Victoria and Kelowna come next.
| Step | Gap $2K to $50K | Gap over $50K |
|---|---|---|
| Flagged across BC | ~735 | ~50 |
| Sign up (1 in 10) | ~74 | ~5 |
| Win (6 in 10) | ~44 | ~3 |
| Our fee per win | ~$1,700 | ~$13,000 |
| Year one | ~$75K | ~$39K |
Estimate. It depends on: BC having about 3 times Vancouver's cases, 1 in 10 signing, 6 in 10 winning, and each win cutting half the gap. If only 3 in 100 sign, the year is about $15K to $40K. It repeats every January.
